So in a divorce with kids and a dog, who gets the dog?   I vote the kids.  The ex says since he’s all alone (never mind the fact that he lives with a women and her daughter) he should get the dog.  My poor 5 year old cries on the phone to him and begs him to bring her dog back and still he persists.  He claims it’s because we’re on the go so much and out of town frequently that it’s just better, plus our dog is old and he can’t last much longer so it’s really all around better for everyone. I think I’m going to have to push the issue because my daughter is really upset.   Also I’m not willing to buy and train another dog at this point in my life, maybe in a few years but life is just too crazy right now for dog training….
